Our
Standards
We believe our design team creates design solutions that resolve the individual conditions of a site by utilizing both innovative techniques and “tried and true” construction methods to create economically feasible development projects. MEG produces technical solutions that not only look good on paper but which can be clearly understood during the bidding process and constructed with a minimum of fuss or extraordinary measures.
Our design team is committed to effective in-house quality assurance and the principals will have an active part in the design process. Additionally, we welcome the value-engineering, peer-review process as a sound method to validate a design option. Finally, as excellent communication between any and all team members is a major requirement for any successful project, the staff members of MEG pledge to maintain an approachable posture to enable straightforward and productive exchanges between all involved parties to ensure a positive and candid working atmosphere.
As previously stated, our office strives to use innovative design solutions in our work. We find this feasible by keeping abreast of the most up-to-date technologies in the civil engineering arena. By attending workshops and seminars sponsored by ASCE and other organizations, we not only learn new methodology but also are able to put it to use in our designs. Members of our office are also occasionally involved in the public review of proposed drafts of both state and local design manuals, thereby providing another way to keep pace with the latest trends in design strategies.
In general, our work products are produced on computer within the Windows platform. Design plans are created utilizing the “AutoCAD” and "Civil 3D" computer aided drafting programs. Cost estimates and bid documents are generated on the “Excel” spreadsheet and “Word” word processing programs. Various other Windows and DOS based software programs are utilized to process water distribution, drainage, and geotechnical data to aid in infrastructure design processes. Additionally, although MEG does not provide surveying services, we have worked extensively with numerous local surveying firms, seamlessly meshing their drawings and data files into our AutoCAD plans and computer records.
"Millennium Engineering successfully helped us through the process of long platting our residential property in Everson. Teresa was quick to respond, did a great job incorporating our ideas into the plan, suggested cost saving measures and represented us well at Everson City Council meetings. Our overall experience was very good!"
